The alchemist's belt is a low- to mid-level belt with 3 defense and 3-6 belt slots to hold potions or beverages in. Low-level players beginning to farm the Orc Cave may find them very useful for holding potions, especially potions of life. Eventually, though, traveler's belts will prove better due to their versatility, and 3-slot (later 6-slot) alchemist's bags will be more convenient for carrying potions.

Uses

• Gurun's sixth quest requires the player to bring him 18 alchemist's belts. Sometime before trying to obtain the blunt skill, players may start keeping alchemist's belts to avoid going through the trouble of farming or buying them.
• If Sholop has a 6-slot alchemist's belt and 6 white wolf pelts in stock, he will craft a 6-slot alchemist's bag.
• 3-slot alchemist's belts are not used to craft 3-slot alchemist's bags, though 3- to 5-slot could once be used to craft them.

Sources

• All alchemist's belts may be worn and dropped by alchemists or Master Alchemists. 3-slot belts are uncommon (4-5%) and 6-slot belts are rare (0.33-0.5%), with everything else falling in between.
• Darklow keeps them in stock.
• Lysis keeps them in stock.
• Sholop does not keep alchemists' belts in stock. If they are sold to him, he will remove them after a few minutes.
  • This is indicated by the sell dialogue: Sholop will say "That looks like a fine alchemist's belt", omitting "for my shop, <player>."

Prices

• Sholop buys 3-slot belts for 51 gold and sells them for 200.
• Sholop buys 4-slot belts for 68 gold and sells them for 300.
• Sholop buys 5-slot belts for 85 gold and sells them for 400.
• Sholop buys 6-slot belts for 100 gold and sells them for 500.
• Darklow buys 3-slot belts for 41 gold and sells them for 225.
• Darklow buys 4-slot belts for 54 gold and sells them for 335.
